Czech Society for Sexual Medicine (CSSM) was founded in 2005 by efforts of MUDr. Vladimír Kubíček, CSc.

The aims of the CSSM are multidisciplinary cooperation of medical and scientific specialties dealing with sexual and reproductive functions, and spreading of expert knowledge in the field of clinical sexology.

In 2007, CSSM became member of European Society for Sexual Medicine(ESSM) and in 2020, CSSM co-held the ESSM Congress in Prague.

MUDr. Vladimír Kubíček, CSc. had been the president of the society until 2016, when MUDr. Ondřej Trojan, Ph.D., FECSM was elected as a new president. Since 2023, MUDr. Marek Broul, Ph.D., MBA, FECSM has been the current president of CSSM.

CSSM holds CSSM Symposium, which traditionally takes place at the end of May in the Municipal Theatre in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic, has become a popular educational multidisciplinary (urology, andrology, gynaecology, clinical sexology, psychiatry, psychology, endocrinology, clinical genetics and other humanistic and scientific specialties) event with a regular participation of foreign speakers. In the recent years, the attendance exceeded available capacity.
